How to setup your redirect pages in Rapid Response Autoresponder.
First off please note this is all optional! There are defaults built into the system that take care of this.
However it is very useful to send your subscribers to your own webpages that may contain your downloads, or whatever you want them to receive.
There are only two redirect pages you can set up.
The FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT ONE will be in the very first email they get as soon as they sign up – this email always asks them to confirm and when they click the confirmation link they will be taken to a website of your choice. This CAN BE YOUR DOWNLOAD PAGE for a free gift or offer – whatever you want.
Here is how to do it:
Step 1 Go to the configuration menu:
Step 2: Select Sign Up Success Redirect
Step 3: Fill in the URL where you want your subscriber to go when they click the CONFIRMATION link that is sent as soon as they subscribe.
This can be to your download page remember, and should be, if your subscriber signed up to get something free from you.
That is it for the first redirect! Easy!
The Other REDIRECT you can set is the page your subscriber goes to as soon as they click the submit button after entering their Name & Email Address in your webform on your webpage.. This should usually be a simple “Thank you for signing up” and asking them to make sure to “Please Confirm your request to be subscribed to us in the email you are about to receive.” This SHOULD NOT be to your DOWNLOAD PAGES since they are not yet confirmed to be on your email list!
Here are some pictures of the setup.
Step 1: Go to the Confirmation Required Redirect in the Configuration Menu
Step 2: Put the URL to your webpage that thanks them for signing up and requesting they confirm. (it might look like this for example: Congratulations
And that is all there is to it.
Now go to Form Code menu item and get the code to put on your website! It will now use your custom redirects.
