Guides & Tutorials to Your Rapidresponsebot Autoresponder System. Covering:

Basic Setup

Rapidresponsebot can be set up for use in about 2 minutes. This means a basic set up that will capture names and emails but does not have customized thank you or confirmation pages. (See advanced set up for those topics )

Before you start make sure your personal settings have been entered. Go to SETTINGS on the Menu. Fill in

* Your website’s name/title:
* Your website’s main url:

Click Update Settings at bottom of the page.

That is ALL you must set up on that page. The other settings can be customized later.

Leave the “Confirmation email” at the bottom of this page ALONE!

See Pictures of this step here: Step 1 & Step1b

Step 1 – Set up your first Autoresponder:

Go to the menu item AUTORESPONDERS and select ADD NEW AUTORESPONDER.

Fill in the first 3 boxes

Account Identifier:—————-

From Name: —————–

From email: ————-

That’s ALL that is required! The boxes below can be left alone and customized later. (See advanced set up for those topics )

Click ADD NEW ACCOUNT at the bottom of this page.

Step 2 – Generate Your Sign-Up Form

Go to menu item AUTORESPONDERS and select FORM GENERATOR

(Ignore the first box about multiple autoresponders -it’s set fine.)

Select Autoresponder Account to generate form for (in the dropdown box):

The defaults Email & name are preselected and are all you need.

Click GENERATE FORM at bottom of the page. Your form will appear.

You can test it by putting in your own name & email address right there!

Copy the HTML code & paste it into the HTML code of your web page where you want the form to go.

THAT”S IT -your first Autoresponder is ready to go. Now you need to put messages in it that your sign ups will receive.

Step 3 Create Messages

Set up your messages by going to Menu Item – AUTORESPONDERS >View All Autoresponders. Your autoresponders will appear. Open the link [View Messages] and Click Add New Message . (You don’t need to add an unsubscribe tag since that is always included in every email by default)

This ends the Basic Setup Section.

Advanced Setup

Customizing Rapidresponsebot Autoresponder with advanced techniques.

Creating links to customized thank you pages.

While it is not strictly necessary to create these pages since the system has it’s own built in defaults it is commonly done to direct your subscribers to specific pages you want them to see. Please note you will have to create these pages and host them on your own websites.

There are TWO places where thank you page links can be used.

The first is where the customer is sent as shortly. (Soon as our website is updated to reflect our New Rapidresponsebot V3! Expected time 5 days..) as they click the subscribe button on your site. This generally is a page that should include something like “Thank you for subscribing -please check your email for your confirmation link. You must click on the confirmation link to be added to my lists. This is done to prevent unauthorized use of your email address. Thanks”

The place to insert this link is when you generate your form for your autoresponder. You will see a “Thank You Page —Enter URL”  box just beside the Generate Form button. Just enter the full URL  and then create your form.

Include http://www or it will not work!

The second place where you can put a customized page link is Confirmation Thank you page:
This will be the URL where you want the subscriber to be redirected to upon confirmation of their email address.

This can be your homepage, your offer page -whatever page you think appropriate.

The place to insert this link is in the EDIT PROPERTIES section of your autoresponder (Menu Item -AUTORESPONDERS >View All Autoresponders>Edit Properties)

Enter the full URL to your page in the “Confirmation Thank you page:” box.

Include http://www or it will not work!

Common Issues:

Frequently asked questions and their solutions.

Import Issues:

IMPORTANT POLICY CHANGE PLEASE READ!

Q: I just joined – how many imports can I do?
A: We are cautious about imports – due to the enormous spam complaints unauthorized imports create.

New customers are not allowed to import leads until we see the pattern of their emailing. Building your client base from webforms is a much more profitable way to grow your business – years of experience have shown us almost zero results from importing untargeted email lists and this was the most common reason accounts had to be closed – something we do not like to have to do!

Q: I imported my list but no one shows up in my autoresponder.

A: This is the most common question we get about importing and the short answer is that no one will show up in your lists UNTIL THEY CLICK ON THE VERIFY LINK that is in the email automatically sent to them requesting they opt in to your email lists. (It is not legal to add them unless they agree to it -this is the definition of SPAM.)

Q: How do I import. Is there a definite way to do it?

A: Yes – all imports must be in csv -comma separated format. Example -

firstname, lastname,emailaddress
John,Doe,johndoe@xyz.com

One person to a line. These imports can either be pasted into the import box OR imported via the Browse & Import button from a file on your computer.

Q:  Why is no one showing up on my lists after I edit the confirmation box email?

A:  This is the  most common error we get.  If there is no %%VERIFYLINK%% tag in the confirmation box email you created this will be a problem. When you go into the edit properties section of each autoresponder you will see the * Confirmation email to send to subscribers” box.

Please take note of the following because it is the MOST COMMON PROBLEM we get when we  turn on this function. You MUST include a %%VERIFYLINK%% tag in the letter you create here otherwise no one will ever be able to sign up to your lists. So this box should contain an email saying something like “Hello – thanks for signing up please verify you want to be on my lists and after you do you will get something great etc. Click %%VERIFYLINK%% please”

This box overrides the default confirmation request email normally sent out and strictly speaking if this box was left totally empty you wouldn’t have had the problem. So just rewrite that letter as if it’s a request to confirm and include a %%VERIFYLINK%% . Remember this box can be left completely blank and all will work just fine.

Q: Can I import a cvs file into the system?
A: Yes you can import csv, as long as the imports are your own lists – not purchased from third parties.

Q: How does the system handle duplicates – is it self de-duping?
A: Yes – Duplicates are skipped and you can customize all the pages.

Q: I am a free member – can I import?
A: Free members cannot import while Pro members can import 100 per day via csv file or cut and paste.
However we do not permit 3rd party leads/free/bought leads. They must be your own opt-in leads.
Also leads will need to opt-in and until your subscribers opt-in they will not show up in your database.
